The Law of Attraction does not work

The law of attraction does not work is something I hear a lot. Immediately, images come to mind of the number of times it has worked for me.

In fact the universe has never let me down. The law of attraction states what you focus on will happen.

So I began to think why does the law of attraction work for some people and not for others.

The following is a list of reasons why the law of attraction does not work for you or may not be happening the way you expected it to.

Personal responsibility means that you are in control of your own life. The law of attraction will not work if you believe you are entitled to your father or mother's money.

Or if you feel the world owes you, because you are black and still suffering from the ills of historical wrongs. Or if you are gay and your parents have disowned you.

Or if you have been abused, and your still suffering. As you read this you can add your own story of suffering.

Personal responsibility is an awareness of how you move through the world, and the effect you have on others. Do you do things for others, and expect something in return? This can be conscious or subconscious. If you do, you may be surprised to find the people you help avoiding you.

Perhaps you manipulate people into helping you by whining, pouting, throwing temper tantrums or even threatening to kill yourself.

The person that helps does it, because they fear the consequence. The consequences are numerous, but include the withdrawal of affection.

When the helper helps, their free will is compromised, and their energy is drained, yet you continue to take from the world around you.

The law of attraction does not work if you do not take personal responsibility for life. Why? Without personal responsibility you cannot create your life, because your energy consciously or subconsciously is focused on feeling that someone or history owes you something.

You understand the law of attraction and begin to buy lottery tickets. You do all that you are supposed to including seeing yourself with the winning ticket, jumping around like a crazy happy person. Months go by and you still have not won.

Chance is the probability that some thing might happen. Luck can be defined as a chance happening or as something that might happen beyond your control.

Buying lottery tickets is based on the chance that you might win. The odds of winning anything over $1000 is still about 1 in a million.

The law of attraction doesn't work with chance. In this case you think the universe owes you something. If and when you win, it will have nothing to do with the law of attraction. It will mean on that day your numbers came up.

Recently, I had a visitor to my site disagree with the statement Law of attraction does not work, and he stated the following:

"You say law of attraction doesn't work for the lottery,look at Helene Hadsell. She is considered by Joe Vitale from the secret one of the missing teacher. She won numerous of contest using the secret.

There is no limit to the subconscious mind. There is no such thing as chance. The same mind that can heal cancer is the same mind that can win money, reap good returns in real estate or stock."

This visitor has connected chance with winning the lottery. Just as chance is the probability that something "might" happen, this then means there is a probability that someone "might" win the lottery on numberous occasions. Helene is not alone in her ability to pick winning numbers.

However, while Helene is winning, millions are losing. The question then becomes if there is no such thing as chance, then why isn't everyone winning?

It is important to understand what I said, in the above paragraph. You have a greater chance or probability of being successful focusing on your passion than waiting for luck or chance to find you.

Dissonance means there is a conflict. You may want something that depends on someone else wanting the same thing. For example, maybe you want someone to love you. Yet the other person does not feel the same way.

Or perhaps, you might believe you and another person would make a great business partnership, but the other person doesn't believe it.

The other person doesn't tell you, but as time goes by nothing is working in the partnership, but you fail to move forward.

You know deep down in side that you should walk away, but you do not. The other person may be unable to tell you, may be afraid to move forward, or may have some other reason for not telling you.

The law of attraction does not work if your life plan conflicts with someone else's life plan. It is often hard to accept that we cannot control another person's life, but that is the reality of the universe.

In summary, the law of attraction does not work for the above reasons. If you feel that one of the reasons fits your current life change it.

The law of attraction states you will always get what you focus on, so ask yourself whether you are focusing on the right thing.

When you take personal responsibility and control of your life, instead of hoping that luck will visit, then you will start to see the things you dream for appear in your life.
